KR Security Systems recently delivered a full connectivity and entertainment upgrade for a group of rural cottage holiday lets at Llanfwrog, Holyhead, Anglesey.
The project included the installation of a Starlink satellite internet system, a Ruijie Wi-Fi 6 network, and a communal TV aerial distribution system to ensure fast, reliable connectivity and consistent television coverage across every cottage.
Being located in a remote coastal area, the cottages had long struggled with slow and unreliable broadband. To overcome this, we installed Starlink, providing the site with high-speed, low-latency internet capable of supporting streaming, remote working and multiple guests online at once.
To distribute the connection seamlessly throughout the entire holiday complex, we deployed a Ruijie Wi-Fi 6 mesh network, along with point-to-point wireless bridges to link each building with strong, stable coverage.

To complement the improved Wi-Fi infrastructure, we installed a Fracarro log-periodic TV aerial system with distribution to each holiday let. This ensures every cottage receives a stable, high-quality Freeview signal without the need for multiple aerials on individual roofs.
